You hear it in a practical voice. You cannot paint, begin, send, stay. It sounds like information. Most of the time it is a habit, repeated until it passes for a fact.

The story
In October 1883 Vincent van Gogh wrote to his brother Theo from Drenthe. The sentence on posters is smoother than the letter. What he wrote was addressed to Theo, and it kept a last clause the posters drop: the voice goes quiet only by working.
